Not a whole lot to say in this one. K-State came out and took care of business. K-State put KU down early and took the life out of them over the course of the game. Nice way not only to cover the spread, but also to get to 6 wins and bowl eligibility.
By the Numbers
Rushing Yards- KU: 88 K-State: 242
3rd Down Conversions- KU 23% (3/13) K-State: 66% (6/9)
Turnovers- KU:0 K-State: 0
Penalties- KU: 4-21 K-State: 8-65
K-State has go to clean up those penalties. Good teams do not lose focus in games like this. I know its a small detail, but its a recurring theme with Klieman and its continually nagged at this team.
Wrapping Up
The path forward for K-State to 10 wins is possible. Their remaining 3 games are winnable. West Virginia is inconsistent, Baylor while much improved is starting to show signs of trouble, and Texas has been a mess.
These next 3 games are the most important of the Chris Klieman era. These games are winnable, but still challenging. Finishing the year on a strong note will not only help build momentum recruiting wise, but energize the fanbase in the offseason. Either way I think we are in for a fun finish to the year. Let’s go get 10 wins.
